Connecting to the Local Area Network (LAN)
Please Choose an operating system: Windows XP | Windows 2000 |
1) First, left click on the start button and choose the
Control Panel Button. From here choose the Network and Internet
Connections option. |
2) This will bring you to another menu, from which you
should choose the Network Connections option. |
3) From here, Right click on the Local Area Connection
icon and Choose Properties. |
4) Left click on the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) option
to highlight it (as seen to the right). Then left click on
the properties button in the lower right hand corner. |
5) This brings up the Internet Protocol Properties window.
You want to make sure that Obtain an IP address automatically
and Obtain DNS server address automatically are selected. |
1) Left click on the start button, left click on settings
and then choose theNetwork and Dial-up connection option. |
2) Right click on the Local Area Connection and choose
Properties. |
3) Left click on the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) option
to highlight it (as seen to the right). Then left click on
the properties button in the lower right hand corner. |
4) This brings up the Internet Protocol Properties window.
You want to make sure that Obtain an IP address automatically
and Obtain DNS server address automatically are selected. |
