What are the requirements for my new password and why are they so strict?

The new password rules are stricter because we are trying to create a more secure network, which ultimately, will protect you from malicious activity. The new password needs to be at least 10 characters long and contain 3 out of the following four character categories; capital letters, lower letters, numbers and special characters. It cannot contain your name, either first or last, or your username. You will be required to change your password every 45 days, but cannot change it more than once in a 24 hour period. Last but not least, you cannot use any of your previous 24 passwords.
